Funeral Celebrant Service
The death of a loved one is a complex time, when many emotional and logistical intricacies can arise. As an accredited funeral celebrant, I offer my experience and service to families in their time of loss.
It is always an honour to officiate a funeral service, and I am passionate about creating a space where loved ones can be free to feel their emotions, while knowing that the rest is taken care of.
I also work as a funeral director, so I understand how the funeral industry works, the legalities, and also the poignancy of the time surrounding a person’s death.
I will spend time with you to create and deliver a funeral service that is unique to you and your loved one, and that accommodates to your circumstances.
My goal is to officiate funeral services in a manner that is gentle, simple, and that allows people to feel free to be wherever they are in the processing of their grief.
Just as no two people are the same, no two funeral services are the same. I’d be delighted to meet you, your family and friends, and hear about your loved one so we can discover how best to pay tribute to a special person who has left us physically, but continues on in spirit.

Once you or your chosen funeral director has made contact with me regarding officiating your loved one’s funeral, I will call you to find a time to sit down in person, or chat over the phone about your wishes for the funeral.

We will discuss the type of service you are having in order to make a clear ‘order of service’ including, when and where the service will take place and other details including;
What music you would like to have played
Any poems, prayers or readings you would like to incorporate into the service
Who will be writing/ reading the eulogy (I can give guidance on how to write a eulogy and am also happy to read it if needed)
Who will be speaking and when; for example a certain family member may wish to read a poem or prayer
A general outline of how I will lead the service
During our meeting I will get to know your deceased loved one by talking to you and your family and we will establish the tone you would like the service to imbibe- whether it’s simple and straight forward or “the whole nine yards,” cultural, artistic, humble, floral, agricultural, nautical or anything in between! We will make sure the service honours the individuality of your loved one, and incorporates elements of their personality and lifestyle.

After I’ve spoken to you I will arrange the rest of the details with your chosen Funeral Director. I will create an order of service and share the order of service with the Funeral Director so that they are informed of the proceedings for the service, so they can accommodate to your requirements and create order of service booklets if applicable.
